Traveling at the Speed of Light!
06.27.2010, Sunday ~ We drove east from Lebanon, Tennessee to Knoxville, Tennessee this afternoon. We dined at a restaurant with the White Horse as it seemed the LORD was continuing to confirm HIS WORD regarding, “The Horses Are Coming!” The LORD has provided a White Horse (Mustang GT Convertible) for this portion of the journey and a chauffeur, native to the Eastern States. We are anticipating a quick four-day trip beginning in Tennessee and ending at Chester, South Carolina for a Bbeginning Glory Ring Workshop. Our hope is to visit Virginia, Washington D.C. including a tour of the Pentagon and North Carolina.
06.28.2010, Monday ~ Sunrise was the time of departure and we entered Virginia at 8:08 a.m., stopped to pray and poured out anointing oil. We crossed the James River at 11:27 a.m. and then spontaneously stopped to see the Natural Bridge (www.naturalbridgeva.com) at 12:21 p.m. and at 1:11 p.m. enjoyed a lunch at the Joyful Spirit Café (a Christian establishment). As I looked at the map, it seemed that West Virginia was really close in proximity, so Patricia seamlessly adjusted the travel plans and we crossed over the West Virginia State Line at 3:53 p.m. We located a turnaround among the dense rich green deciduous forest, stopped to pour anointing oil and pray, and then continued our journey towards Washington D. C.
After we checked into our hotel, we took a short dinner break in the Crystal City and then I asked the inevitable questions: Are Maryland and Delaware within driving distance? Patricia, who is very flexible, adaptable and adventuresome started the engine and immediately we were on our way towards Chesapeake Bay and Annapolis, Maryland where we stopped, prayed, poured anointing oil at 9:05 p.m. (mileage 55777) and then towards Dover, Delaware to do the same at 10:33 p.m. We traveled in five states (TN, VA, WW, DE, and MD) and Washington D.C. during the first day of our Prayer Journey, and through overt divine grace, Patricia had driven 955 miles.
Signs along the way: Gold, Intrepid.
06.29.2010, Tuesday ~ After figuring out the metro system, we took a bus over to the Smithsonian (goSmithsonian.com). This is an amazing massive complex of historical exhibits – Note to self: plan for at least one week to visit all the exhibits. This was my first time in Washington D.C. and the LORD said to “Walk the Mall” which is the area between the Capitol Building and the Washington Memorial. In 90 plus degrees and humidity, we walked and prayed the full parameter of the Mall. Actually riding 955 miles yesterday, was easy compared to this challenge as a native Oregonian the high humidity factor is truly energy-sapping. The Capitol steps were barricaded which was very disappointing at least for this American girl. Then we visited “The Blue Diamonds” Exhibit at the Smithsonian. In the late afternoon, we traveled to Historic Alexandria, Virginia to pour anointing oil in the Potomac River. Our visit to the White House (8:07 p.m.) and Supreme Court was similar to the Capitol. The hot, humid sultry air was stifling and the area was buzzing with helicopters and police. One needed a telephoto lens or binoculars to see the White House as security blocked all gates. During the evening, we were hoping to see both the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials, but construction and security made that impossible as well, therefore, we were grateful to see the Jefferson Memorial (9:28 p.m.) as the sun was setting. The majesty of the marble architecture is beyond description.
06.30.2010, Wednesday ~ Through a divine arrangement, we were scheduled for a tour of the Pentagon today. As my Dad was a WWII Veteran, a machine gunner, who arrived at Normandy Beach on the 3rd day, I was particularly fascinated with the hundreds of photographs, paintings and extensive art displays along the walls of the Pentagon (no photos allowed). We found everyone to be professional even though the atmosphere weighed heavy with grief due to the changes in our nation and the ever-present reminder of September 11, 2001. This tour deeply impacted my life as the HOLY SPIRIT ordained this strategic day of prayer for our Nation.
After stopping in Richmond, Virginia to pray and anoint the Capitol City, we drove to Historic Williamsburg, Virginia in the late afternoon, meeting Patricia’s sister for a Birthday Celebration dinner!
07.01.2010, Thursday ~ The morning was filled with Southern ease as we ferried across the James River (11:22 a.m.), delayed by an extremely large carrier which only happens on a rare occasion as the Captain informed the passengers. The wind was warm and comforting. Often those with a prophetic intercessory anointing (such as the author of this writing) function in an eclectic and eccentric manner as we see and hear differently in the spiritual realm which may be challenging for those around us. One of the complete joys of traveling with an adventuresome, extrovert like Patricia is that wherever she goes, truly there are friends waiting to be met. We stopped at a little nowhere Southern crossroads town and the couple she met on the ferry invited us to join them for lunch. This is completely out of character for the introverted intuitive type that I am. They recommended the apple peanut caramel concoction that you see among the photos.
We traveled south to the Rappahannock Tribal Center, to meet Chief Ann Richardson, who had received our Glory Ring for the James River. Due to the delay of the ferry and becoming slightly misdirected among the back roads of Virginia, we missed our meeting by 30 minutes or so. It was very disappointing to travel over 2500 miles to meet someone and instead meet their daughter and grandchildren. Graciously, we left the gifts we brought and departed for the final Capitol city of Raleigh, North Carolina (4:28 p.m.) to complete our Prayer Journey of 1483 miles. We traveled through eight states and Washington D.C. in less than six days. Patricia then drove me to Chester South Carolina in preparation for a Ministry Outreach. It was a complete privilege to see so much of beautiful America in so little time.
May the LORD graciously and abundantly recompense the HGRM Faithful Prayer Warriors and those that gave financially to make this Prayer Journey possible! For HIS Eternal Glory!
Because of HIS overt love and grace, Yours for Yeshua,
