In John 8, Jesus discusses the difference between truth and lies. It is a worthy read.
Yesterday, during a season of lengthy prayer and pondering, the Holy Spirit asked me, "What lies do you believe?" I noticed immediately that the question was posed in present tense, not past tense. He was not asking about something that was overcome, but something that needed overcoming.
Truth is always a deeper revelation of the person of Jesus Christ and HIS message, the Gospel.
Any lie separates us from the truth and the fullness of HIS love for us. Either we believe GOD, our father in heaven or we believe satan, the father of lies. We are given the choice to choose which spiritual father will influence our life.
Who do you choose?
