In John 8, Jesus discusses the difference between truth and lies. It is a worthy read.
Yesterday, during a season of lengthy prayer and pondering, the Holy Spirit asked me, "What lies do you believe?" I noticed immediately the question was posed in present tense, not past tense. HE was not asking about something I had overcome, but something I needed to overcome. A new perspective, a deeper revelation was needed.
Truth is always a deeper revelation of the person of YESHUA, Our Messiah and HIS message, the Gospel.
Any lie separates us from the Truth, the person of YESHUA and the fullness of HIS love for us. Either we believe GOD, our Father in heaven or we believe satan, the father of lies. We are given the choice to choose which spiritual father will influence our life.
It is time ... Who do you choose?
So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” ~ John 8:31-32, NASB
