Innocence Lost

​Cautiously, her little body scoots to the safety of the dark closet.

Hot tears sting her rosy bruised cheeks.

Muffled sobs choke her innocence.

Her broken, crumpled form rocks with pain.

Silently.

A whispered prayer.

God if you are there…

Please don’t let him hurt me anymore…
