As a parable…we are living in the Kingdom of God. In HIS Kingdom on earth are various educational facilities. God is the superintendent. Jesus Christ is the entrance administrator. The Teacher is the Holy Spirit. Everyone in God’s Kingdom is tested at one time or another. When we fail a test, God offers it again and again until we pass. As we mature in our spiritual relationship, God may invite us to be the test paper for someone else taking a test. Usually it is a test that we have passed so that we know how to mentor, pray and encourage the person taking the test.
As a forerunner in HIS Kingdom, because of the call on my life, I am the test paper. Painfully I have learned that it is essential not to take “being the test paper” assignment personally. Because we all know if someone passes a test…they take you to dinner, buy you flowers and chocolates and you immediately become their best friend. However, if they fail the test, it immediately becomes your fault, you become their least favorite person, hopefully they don’t betray you, but they might. One of the most common ways that a testimony is developed is because someone took a test and either failed, passed, or excelled.
It is essential to remember that it is in fact God’s Kingdom, HE is the superintendent, Jesus Christ is the entrance administrator and the Holy Spirit is the teacher. It is important not to get our role mixed up with theirs.

P.S. At this juncture in time I find myself extraordinarily grateful for the many teachers, professors, mentors, supervisors and leaders that have graciously been my test paper as I have walked through this life in the Kingdom of God on earth!

Many years ago, my daughter invited a friend from her Girl Scout Troop to spend the night. Angela (age 11) was taking a beginning sewing class to earn her first badge in Girl Scouts. The troop leader was the mother of the friend spending the night.
During the course of the evening, my daughter's friend, also age 11, make a comment about being "Lucky!" I immediately corrected her and said that because we were Christians we didn't believe in "Luck" we believed in God. The little girl smiled and said that she was also a Christian and she learned in her Sunday School class that LUCKY was an acronym for LIVING UNDER CHRIST'S KINDNESS YES! I immediately apologized for correcting her and thanked her for teaching me something new that day. Sometimes children are the best teachers. May we all be fortunate enough to live L.U.C.K.Y. lives every day!
