Journal of Joy ~ Fairview, Oregon, USA to Yuma, Arizona, USA ~ October 1-12, 2004
10.01.2004, Friday ~ We left Fairview, Oregon at 7:39 AM. Mount Saint Helens began smoking, spitting, and spewing this morning, just a few miles across the border into the State of Washington. The initial purpose of the trip was for me to drive my mom, who is now 74, back to her home in Yuma, Arizona and then return to Oregon by plane. This was to provide companionship during the journey and save her the exhaustion of the plus 1500 miles of driving.
Signs along the way: Jeremiah 51:12, The Lord is My Shepherd (2x), 388-588, John 3:3, 333 (Jeremiah 33:3), 555 (Isaiah 55:5), 727 (Genesis 7:27), Twin Falls 119, dime (10-fold).
The first divine appointment ordered by the LORD was meeting Lynda at Foley’s in La Grande, Oregon for lunch. The prophetic proclamation that the Holy Spirit gave through her, “You are being re-outfitted by the LORD.” It was a most excellent meal accompanied by wonderful fellowship.
We drove on into Idaho and poured out Anointing Oil at the Snake River near the Oregon-Idaho border. The day ended with our arrival in Sandy, Utah at my twin sister Jeannie’s home 767 miles down the road...the time 10:10 PM (John 10:10). To answer the most common questions: no we are not identical, yes, we are fraternal twins, no we are not adopted, her hair is naturally straight, mine is naturally curly, she is slightly taller and older, I am slightly shorter (1/2 inch) and younger (12 minutes). She has four children, I have three.
10.02.2004, Saturday ~ A restful day with leisurely walking, shopping, a movie and a scenic drive up the gorge to Snowbird where I poured out Anointing Oil and we picked up colorful fall leaves for my sister’s second grade class art project. Throughout the day I found three dimes (30-fold).
10.03.2004, Sunday ~ Another delightful surprise, my niece, Dr. Laura flew in from Alaska today, sweet to see her again after many years. The day held a piano concert by Laura including Christmas music, working on Laura’s quilt (my sister makes wonderful quilts), a game of Scrabble, a walk in the park, a bit more shopping and another movie. Throughout the weekend Jeannie kept mentioning that it was a “Whirlwind Weekend.”
10.04.2004, Monday ~ We left at 7:47 am and arrived in Laughlin, NV at 4:45 PM.
Signs along the way: Forward March, Eagles Landing, Eagles Transport, American Eagle Lines, 76CFE (today is the 4th anniversary of my dad’s death, he was 76 and his initials are CFE. God remembers even the little things), 222 -x3 (2 Samuel 22:2 and Revelation 22:2), 8, 055 LRD, 119 MRE, HIS 051, 119, 733, 32732, 5451010, 5451011, 5451012.
Gratefully today’s drive was only nine hours instead of Friday’s fourteen. I stopped to pour out Anointing Oil in St George, Utah…a helicopter flew over the city as we took the exit and poured out Anointing Oil in Colorado River at Laughlin, NV, USA.
It is the four year anniversary of my Dad's move to heaven. The grief is palatable yet my mom remains silent. Sometimes when all the words have been said, the best thing is to just be present as another processes their grief.
10.05.2004, Tuesday ~ We shared lunch with David (his birthday) and Edward. Last November, while in Bellingham, Washington celebrating Thanksgiving with my brother and his family, we went shopping at a little Dutch Community where I found a scarf for Holland. We have been praying for the last eleven months at HIS Glory Reigns Worship Gathering for the nation of Holland and the divine connection. Edward is native born Dutch and his mother lives in Den Haag. PTL!
Signs along the way: Joy Lane (2 x), Hammer Lane (2x), King Road (2x).
While at David’s the FedX man came to the door and said that he got “goose bumps” when he saw the Oregon License Plate on the car parked in the driveway, so David invited me out to meet him. His name was Charles, and his wife is planning to go to Oregon next week…smiles. So, we gave him a bottle of Anointing Oil and prayed a blessing over him. One of those divine moments in time.
In the evening, David, Wendy and Edward came up to Laughlin for a lovely “official” birthday dinner followed by a few moments of work on my computer by Edward. Thank You Jesus for a computer engineer and programmer.
10.06.2004, Wednesday ~ We left Laughlin at 9:30 AM and then were given the divine opportunity to pray for a road construction crew (which is the only sensible thing to do) as we baked in 100 plus degrees for a long, long delay.
At one point in the journey my mom said, "Isn't this beautiful?" Not following her perspective, I answered, "What?" She surveyed the landscape. Her beautiful landscape included from my very native Oregonian perspective..."Well, all I see is sand brown, sage brown, cactus brown, dirt brown, dust brown, mountain brown, road brown, bark brown, dead tree gray brown, rock gray-brown and lizard green-brown...how much brown can one place have?" I laughed heartily at my perspective. One must look deeply to see beauty in the desert. My grandmother, mother and twin sister all love the colors of the desert. I am much more like my father who is of English-Irish heritage and we love the color of green grass, hills, meadows, and English Rose gardens.
We stopped and poured out Anointing Oil in Blythe, California as we crossed the border into Arizona, arriving in Yuma at 3:33 (Jeremiah 33:3 which is God's Phone Number) with a helicopter leading the way into the city with 15 yellow flags on 8th Avenue and the License Plate 334 JJY.
After unloading the car, assembling mom's winter residence, we watched a two-hour Travel video on Holland ~ this really humored me as the day before I met Edward who will deliver the Holland Glory Ring and tonight I am watching a video that someone had loaned to my mom a year ago. God is having fun preparing the way for this Prophetic Glory Ring as the video simply provided the names of cities and landmarks to pray over.
10.07.2004, Thursday ~ In the morning, we went to Western Arizona University, where my mom is hoping to teach a Pine Needle Basket Weaving class. With luscious date palms and other beautiful plants adorning the paths...seemed like a lovely place to pour out Anointing Oil under the "Trumpeting Flower Shrub and the Date Palms." In the evening, I poured out Anointing Oil in Sherwood Forest, Yuma, Arizona....as I am expecting my True Rightful King to come and restore HIS Kingdom!
Signs along the way: 158 JJOY….and four fighter jets followed by a White horse.
10.08.2004, Friday ~ The last day of Rosh Hashanah…celebrating the Jewish New Year. The Jewish New Year is beginning with 103 degrees…going to be a hot year! We were blessed to find a scarf for the beginning of a Prophetic Glory Ring for Argentina today. The 8th Avenue Flags were changed to American Banners today ~ 8 white stars and 8 red stripes. (Eight is for new beginning!) The Yuma City Hall on First Street was the next place to pour Anointing Oil.
Signs along the way: Ocean to Ocean Bridge (4x), A new leaf (4x), 604 JJY, 011 JJY, 222 (Revelation 22:2), 555, 777, three jets, Proverbs 3:5-6 and another white horse.
10.09.2004, Saturday ~ The day was spent with the continuing of preparing Mom's place for the winter.
Signs along the way:Crossroads: 8th Ave and 8th Street and "God doesn’t need defense lawyers, HE needs witnesses.”
10.10.2004, Sunday ~ We went to Algodones, Mexico today so that I could pour out more Anointing Oil and pray. 103 degrees again today...A John 10:10 kind of day!
10.11.2004, Monday ~ The day held a visit to the Western Arizona University Career Center Campus for a look at the classroom and facility. As Mom was touring the facility with her Supervisor, I walked, prayed, and of course, poured out more Anointing Oil. I believe the anointing of Jesus Christ breaks through bringing freedom to HIS people.
10.12.2004, Tuesday ~ The LORD was very encouraging to me this entire trip...HIS grace and mercy! Today I drove to Phoenix to catch my flight home....1900 total miles...that in itself is a miracle.
Signs along the way:Fresh Oil 5 miles, Fresh Oil, Fresh Oil.
We stopped in Dateland for one of their famous "Date Shakes" at 11:11 AM (69 miles from Yuma).
Before arriving in Phoenix the LORD directed me to take the Tempe Arizona (Tempe State University) exit. Mom wanted to know why I turned at this exit and I answered, "I don't know, just know the Holy Spirit directed me to take this exit and come here to pray. So, as per usual, I do what HE asks, even when I do not fully understand HIS purposes. HE would not ask me unless it was important to Him."
Of course, this is completely illogical since we are on our way to the airport and really do not have that much extra time to spare. Later, while at the airport, I learned that the final United States Presidential debate was taking place the next day at Tempe State University where I poured out Anointing Oil and prayed. (As I don't usually watch TV or read the newspaper this type of information is not common to me.) The airport was filled with security as USA President Bush had flown into the airport a few hours earlier.
Gate 12...homeward bound. The flight was encompassed by the soft rays of a majestic hand-painted sunset. The LORD closed the trip with HIS grand finale confirmation that HE had planned all along! I sat next to a wonderful man (the kind of man you would like to have as your grandfather) who lives in Bozeman, Montana during the summer months and Scottsdale, Arizona during the winter months who was coming to Portland, Oregon for a memorial service for a lifelong friend. His daughter lives on the outskirts of La Grande, Oregon. Would you believe that this man was in La Grande, Oregon having lunch with his daughter at Foley’s the same week Mom and I stopped to have lunch with Lynda at Foley's in La Grande, Oregon...the first day of this trip...only GOD!
I remain forever grateful for the faithful prayer warriors of the Most High God. Giving thanks to all that made this journey possible in the natural and spiritual realms.
For the Eternal Glory of God!
As you are blessed by HGRM, we appreciate financial support to continue our mission and vision. Trusting the LORD to recompense and multiply your generous gift.
