Wake Up! Get Up! Stand Up! ...

Introduction ~
This morning, under thick cloudy grey skies, I drove my grandson, Elijah to his football ball game in Vancouver, Washington, USA. I asked him to tell me about the opposing team. He said rather dejectedly, “The Titans. They beat us last year.” I responded, “That was last year, this is this year. You will WIN today.” He smiled.

During the game, a man walked by wearing a t-shirt boldly proclaiming, “MAN UP or SHUT UP!”

For Consideration ~
Laughing out loud, I thought that is what the People of God, Christians, Followers of YESHUA need to do:

WAKE UP! GET UP! STAND UP! MAKE UP! MAN UP! PRESS UP! PRAY UP! COWBOY UP! BUCK UP!

Just because you lost last year does not mean you have to lose this year. It is a new year, a new day, a new season, a new time, a new moment, a new opportunity.

The warm sun broke through the heavy cumulus clouds. The Battle Ground Washington Tigers ruled the football field taking the lead early…unexpectedly. The final score 39 to 7! Victory! Champions on the rise!

Conclusion ~
To be VICTORIOUS over last year’s defeat, brokenness, despair, darkness, rejection, loss and failure is more than POSSIBLE! The year is not over!
