For the creation of making Prophetic Worship Instruments and/or donating supplies to H.G.R.M. and/or an H.G.R.M. Beginning or Advanced Prophetic Glory Ring Workshop we recommend...
Adhesives: Tacky Glue (with elastic properties), Wood Glue, Gorilla Glue, and Super Glue.
Beads: Plastic, glass, wood, metal, clay, shells.
Brass Rings: Any size. Preferred 2-inch to 12-inch.
Buttons: Any size, shape or color.
Fans: Fans may be decorated with ribbon, lace, feathers, scarves, etc.
Feathers: Peacock, Eagle, and other birds (verify feathers are sanitized)
Jewelry: Pearls, pins, pendants, prisms, shells, crosses, roses, etc.
Lace: Wide, narrow, white, ivory, multicolored, etc.
Ribbons: Wide, narrow, with lace, with trim, single colored, varied widths, old, new, multicolored, flowered, and striped designs without acetate.
Sequins: On single strands, triple strands, may be braided or woven together.
Threads/Yarns: Metallic, Colored, Varied.
Wood Embroidery Hoops: Glue them together for added strength for 10-12” rings. Embroidery hoops made with balsa, bamboo or soft wood are not strong enough, they will break. Use Embroidery hoops made of oak, olive or hard wood. We not recommend plastic hoops.
Possible additional supplies: Glue gun, needle-nose pliers, wire cutters, scotch tape, wire, tweezers, scissors, iron, ironing board, plastic clips, door wreath hanger, double-stick tape for holding ribbons in place, Dritz Fray-Check, Goo Gone.
Decorator duct tape of any color is the best tape to use for securing the handle of the ring. For non-tinsel rings using embroidery hoops, you may wrap the entire two-piece hoop with tape to strengthen the ring. For tinsel rings, use duct tape in the handle area to add strength to the ring.
Dritz Fray-Check works well on the ends of cut ribbon. It will leave a stain if it drops onto other ribbons, tinsel, or fabric, so use sparingly and let dry completely. An application of one drop of rubbing alcohol will remove any stain when applied immediately. Ribbons one inch wide or wider may be cut in an inverted V shape to help prevent fraying.
Quilt batting may be wrapped around the handle area before the ribbon is added. Cut batting in 1 by 36-inch strips. Two lengths for 4 to 8-inch hoops.
Ribbons with wire may be easily de-wired by pulling the wire out of the ribbon. We have found that over time the wire within the ribbon breaks and then will snag/cut/tear the scarves and ribbons.
Acetate is not a recommended material for ribbons or scarves. It does not function well.
Wood hoops may need to be reinforced at the handle by gluing an additional section of hoop to the handle area. This is essential for 10 to 14-inch hoops with a lot of tinsel.
Care of Prophetic Worship Glory Rings: They hang quite well from a coat rack, over the door wreath hanger or wall hooks when not in use. They need air. Do not store in a box or closet. Prophetic Worship Glory Rings made of tinsel/fringe will melt in extreme heat as in the seat or trunk of a vehicle, so it is best if they travel in hatboxes, suitcases, or fabric bags to be fully protected from sunlight!
All the sons of Israel, seeing the fire come down and the GLORY of the LORD upon the house, bowed down on the pavement with their faces to the ground, and they worshiped and gave praise to the LORD, saying, "Truly He is good, truly His lovingkindness is everlasting." ~ 2 Chronicles 7:3, NASB
