Prayer Journey, Castle Visitation, Graduation Tea, and Lacie's Wedding ~ Colorado, USA June 8, 2010, Tuesday ~ My beautiful daughter, Angela graciously provided airport shuttle service which is always a delight above the more common shuttle or taxi service that I normally take. At the airport, all is amazingly uneventful. Situated close to the departure gate is a gifted harpist creating resonating sounds that comforts the soul and spirit…an unexpected gift. As I wait for the flight, I pondered the element of time in our lives as it seems only yesterday, not forty-one years ago that I graduated from high school. This last weekend I presented my Thesis and completed the requirements for a Master of Divinity Degree. This trip feels like a celebration following five and one-half years of diligent study, and I am so grateful not to be taking textbooks with me.
Ron and Dixie meet me promptly at the Denver Airport Luggage Terminal and we were all surprised when my suitcase was the first piece of luggage out of the chute, which was also a very rare occurrence. Although Dixie and I have been friends for years, it was my first time to meet Ron, her new husband, following Bob’s death a few years ago. The mercy and goodness of GOD is everlasting!
June 9, 2010, Wednesday ~ Dixie made arrangements for me to stay with Tim and Bobbie Hill, a generous and kind couple who became immediate friends. They have hosted many guests in their lavish home and are adept at making perfect strangers feel at home. Dixie generously prepared the downstairs apartment-like-space where I stayed. She has the amazing gift of hospitality extraordinaire. Affectionately, I still remember the first time she invited me to Colorado Springs eleven years ago, and I woke up to a breakfast tray on the nightstand next to my bed. At first, I thought I was dreaming…a breakfast tray lined with crisp ironed linens, a vase of dewy roses, fresh hot tea, an English tea cup, petite sterling silver spoon, miniature pitcher of cream, fresh baked scones and chocolate dipped strawberries. I remain ever grateful for the plethora of gifts the Father of Lights (James 1:17) generously gives HIS people to share with each other. This day was designated for rest, relaxation, getting reacquainted and settling in….and I am so grateful.
In the afternoon, Ron and Dixie took me on a tour of Glen Eyrie. Although I had heard about the Glen Eyrie Castle this was my first tour. As only, the LORD could orchestrate as Ron and Dixie had both worked at Glen Erie in a previous season and had access to uncommon places. We poured out Holy Anointing Oil and then Dixie blew the Shofar, which brought the security guards running at full-speed because they didn’t want the sound of the Shofar to disturb a wedding that was being held on the grounds. It was delightful to see the Big Horn Sheep on the mountain cliffs along with the deer roaming around the property.
June 10, 2010, Thursday ~ In the morning, Bobbie graciously provided a tour of the Jericho Center and the Focus on the Family complex. Bobbie was Shirley Dobson’s assistant for many years and had access to give me a tour in a season when no tours were being provided. Even though I have admired Dr. James and Shirley Dobson’s vision, passion and the call of God upon their life, I never imagined the possibility of touring the facility housing their ministry. It was a fun tour because Bobbie knew so many people, in addition to, the LORD providing divine appointments for prayer. I also met, Lisa Crump, Director, National Day of Prayer which is housed in the Focus on the Family complex. I realized once again that the LORD had gone before me, and like the tour of Glen Eyrie the day before, HE had set up private tours of these two ministries by insiders, and opened doors in an unprecedented way. Upon arriving home, our ministry sent twelve bottles of Holy Anointing Oil, for the twelve prayer rooms at the Jericho Center.
Then we drove to Manitou Springs, Colorado for a Graduation Tea at The Cliff House at Pikes Peak. The tables on the wide veranda style porch were covered with linens and held vases of fresh flowers at Dixie’s request. YESHUA mentions in the Gospels, HE is going to prepare a place for us (John 14:2, 3), and I always see that attribute in Dixie, how she intrinsically understands the gift of giving another eternal value simply by preparing a place for them. It is a deep comfort in my soul and spirit to know that YESHUA, my Messiah is preparing a place for me as HE does for all believers. The mercy and kindness of GOD are eternal.
Rhonda Marcus, a dear friend from Oregon moved to Fort Collins, Colorado…and she, along with her mother, Judy, and sister, Robin, all HGRM Intercessors made the journey south to share in the Graduation Tea. Life is short and the gift of seeing a friend, once again is often rare. There were people at the table gathered to celebrate my graduation that I had not yet met, and immediately recognized the LORD desired divine connections to be established. A rare moment in time when the genuine kindness in the people of God gave gifts to a perfect stranger, simply for being the friend of another. The Graduation Tea was truly a sweet, joyful, delightful, unexpected surprise and a blessing beyond words.
On the way back to Colorado Springs, we passed an exit sign, designating “Garden of the Gods” …and so because I asked, Dixie took us on a quick scenic tour through the Garden, an extraordinary place of phenomenal geological symmetry and asymmetry. A place where ABBA ADONAI had perhaps too much fun on Creation Day!
June 11, 2010, Friday ~ We met Carolyn Selvig, an HGRM Intercessor at a Tea House in Monument, Colorado for refreshments because she could not to participate in the Graduation Tea the day before. Among the photos is a plate from France with the crumbs of a sweet desert. The plate was a sweet confirmation to me about the LORD’s desire to bring the fullness of HIS Banqueting Table to the Nation of France. I sensed in my spirit that HE would be bringing the Nation of France to me again, although I did not have the details of HIS plans. As we have sent many Prophetic Worship Glory Rings to France…apparently HE has something more! There are many faithful intercessors in our ministry that I have only met through email, social media or phone conversations, therefore, it is always an extreme joy to meet someone face-to-face. Carolyn has a passion for Zimbabwe and has delivered Prophetic Worship Glory Rings to Africa as well as other places.
Each evening of the week, held small prayer gatherings at Tim and Bobbie’s where the Holy Spirit poured out love, joy, healing, restoration, reconciliation, wisdom, light, understanding, truth, revelation, passion and kindness. The Glory of the LORD keeps me in awe of HIS Presence!
June 12, 2010, Saturday ~ This day is the catalyst for the trip, today is Lacie’s wedding. I met Lacie in 2000 at a Prophetic Worship Glory Ring Workshop in Colorado Springs, when she was twelve years old. We have stayed in touch since then through letters, emails, social media and phone calls. Many years ago she asked me “if I ever get married will you come to my wedding” and I answered, “Yes.” Of course, at the time of my commitment to her, I did not know that her wedding would be the weekend between Thesis Colloquium and Graduation in Oregon. Yet, I believe when we make a commitment, it is truly important to keep the commitment if humanly possible, with the grace of God helping us to do just that.
A storm had blown in as is common in Colorado, so the wedding planned in a park with the hope of warm sun, held cold winds an intermittent rain. Lacie was prepared with her beautiful satin wedding dress and black motorcycle “Riding Boots”. The reception was held at her parent’s home in Peyton, Colorado. I so enjoyed meeting her parents, friends, family and especially Lacie’s daughter, Kaitlyn and her handsome groom, Clay.
June 13, 2010, Sunday ~ For many years now, the Holy Spirit has kept me on a “need to know” schedule which means when HE thinks I need to know, then I am given the information. Truly, I could not begin to manage all that HE has assigned for me without HIS careful dispensation of information. Over the years and during previous trips to Colorado, I thought it would be fun to see the Air Force Academy, so naturally, the LORD generously provided Carolyn, a trained Tour Guide of the Air Force Academy. So once again, I found myself being treated to a private tour of an extravagant and beautiful complex.
This day also held the Ordination Service of Carolyn, Ron and Dixie. As Ron and Dixie are planning to move to Montana, it is just like the LORD to give these friends an Ordination to share before HE sends them out.
Tim has promised me a tour of N.O.R.A.D. on my next visit. I am so looking forward to that!
As always, I remain grateful for the faithful H.G.R.M. Intercessor's Prayer Shield and those that give generously of their time, gifts, anointing and offerings.
For the Eternal Glory of YESHUA, our Most High Priest and One True King.
